Baz is the Optometry Director at Adrenaline Optometry Terrigal as well as our sister practice in Castle Hill.

After feeling restricted by the limited options available at corporate optometry chains, Baz wanted to start an independent practice where he had the freedom to offer custom solutions to his patients. Hence, Adrenaline Optometry was born in 2022!

Baz graduated from the university of New South Wales with 1st class honors for his clinical research in dry eye. He subsequently worked for a decade across Sydney, Parramatta and the Central Coast. He has served on the executive committee of 'Young Optometrists NSW/ACT', helping advocate for the profession to raise the standard of eye care in NSW. Baz is regularly involved in school and nursing home screenings, Onsight charity eye care and asylum seeker vision testing. 

In response to the epidemic of short-sightedness during the COVID-19 pandemic, Baz works with adolescents and children to manage myopia using the latest evidence which includes contact lenses and medicated eye drops. He is also a keen advocate of contact lenses including orthokeratology and has achieved certification in specialty paediatric lenses including Misight, Acuvue Abiliti, Paragon CRT and Eyespace FORGE  

Baz is a proud Terrigal resident and spends his free time at the beach with his dachshunds! If you see him on Terrigal Esplanade, say "Hi"!
